Jim and Jarred,

Can you please address this. I have posted regarding this a few times and I know other Redusers can also use this feature. Obviously all of us do not shoot an Epic or Scarlet the same way. I do not have an unlimited budget and currently can not afford a Bombevf so I am "stuck" with my touch LCD. I wish to mount it upside down towards the back of the camera so I can maintain a slim profile when I am out shooting. With the current firmware we can only flip and mirror the UI but not the actual video feed coming through the lens. Can someone please give us a firm date when this will be addressed? Monitor Flip and Mirror feature is useless unless it is usable to actually film things rather than just touch menu items. Sorry but my human brain was designed to expect when I pan left that the image pans left in the screen. Every time this question is brought up it seems to be ignored. Thank you.

+ 2000 on that.

I was just going to post about this! You beat me to it Samir. Red, please please add an image mirror to the flip feature! It's great to have the UI mirrored and flipped but you can't actually operate the camera with the image upside down unless it's also mirrored! I desperately want to under sling my EVF. It's not just the LCD users out there who want this feature! Please chime in guys!!! The Epic is the perfect handheld camera with the EVF drop slung. It's always placed too high with it mounted from the bottom, or else whatever mounting device you're using, Red made or not, is in the way of the lens. Check it.

Any news on this? I have the image flipped but its backwards.

In the mean time sombody should make a little low weight metal device so that the bomb get screw holes both on the side and top. Mounting it from bellow does,, atleast for me, not make much sense for the most situations.

Interesting thought for the RED engineers. Is it at least easier to offer a flip mode for the EVF as it doesn't involve a touch screen remap?
The irony is that they've already remapped the touch screen - there is a flip+mirror for the UI. What doesn't get mirrored is the video...

+1 Also for the Dragon please!

Maybe someone needs to be really insulting like the perceived CML 'hating' or something.

Y'know like really go for the jugular and appeal to the fragile ego of the powers that be at RED?

I actually don't think it will/can work. This is such a obvious and simple thing if it could be solved with present hardware it would.

Like others have stated it is probably a monitor (hardware) issue/oversight. Not what people want to hear but really at this stage what else could the issue be? I don't think RED enjoy looking like tech dinosaurs.

Oh goodness I needed this a couple of weeks ago! I didnt realise it didnt work until I went to operate the camera, as in compose a shot and when I panned one way the picture was showing me the opposite! It was harder than patting your head and rubbing your tummy (I tried and could do that!) I could live with the touch buttons being slightly backwards to maintain the mapping as this seems easy enough to work out?

Has this been addressed yet? UI is flipped but image is still mirrored when flipped.
