Is it better to use 3 of the same graphic cards. I have will be one slot short on my motherboard. Did plan three gtx 680 but now I think I just get one 680 and one 690 instead. Or is it more recommended to use the same?

I think you need two different cards if your using a color grading monitor (and why use davinci without a grading monitor) since i'm perty sure both the 680 and 690 only output 8 bit color to the display(it's real hard to find on their website that those cards only output 8bit). I think you need the quadro type ones to output 10bit to the color grading monitors.

The only output for monitoring using Resolve is Black Magic Design cards.

Im talking about for gpu. If there will be a slowdown to use different gpu cards vs keeping all cards the same model.
