Hello,

I am looking for a mirror that I can mount onto a light stand. So I can bounce light into it, and sway with the mirror to reflect the light. And move the lightrays to whereever I want.
Are there any mirrors you can recommend? (brands, DIY) what to look out for?

Also when shooting light onto a mirror in a small room, I can increase the distance of the light to the subject, and actually make softer light sources hard again right?

Cheers

Hot glue a baby plate to the back of a mirror and stick it in a C stand. Voila.

Quality of light, hard or soft, is largely determined by the size of the source relative to the subject. If you want to create hard light closer to the subject, use a smaller lamp.

Hope this helps,

Another suggestion if weight is a concern:

I have used 4x4 mirrors a lot. Usually the mirror is glued to a piece of plywood and then in a yoke like a reflector. And as mentioned You can say put a 6k on the floor, shoot it straight up into a 4x4 mirror and through a window and you get the light farther away.
