Hey folks
Evaluating wireless FF solutions on a mid range budget ($3-$7k USD). Happy with 1 motor (F) but extensibility is a plus. After a lot of looking, kind of settling towards the RT Motion solution as a good trade off between price, features, responsiveness, distance and build quality. It meets the price on the 1-motor solution but is also extendible to I/Z (or 2nd F for 3D etc.)
But really keen on thoughts from all of you on the RT plus alternatives.
We're doing drone/aerial work so distance is critical for us; the RT has 1.5klm line of sight (likely less in most conditions, but 800m is a feasible limit). Of course, we also do gimbal work (Ronin etc.) so having a wireless FF that has that kind of reach means playing nicer in wall-obstructed and denser situations (up to 100m).
RT motion ticks the boxes of light + durable and distance. Reported latency of 2ms; which I'm told is fairly much expected across most of the mid-premium range. That latency seems a little frustrating as we're running <=0ms latency on Bolt Pro 2000 wireless monitoring solutions.
Any thoughts, experiences and suggestions on RT or alternative high performance wireless FF greatly appreciated..
Cheers
