Hey folks

Evaluating wireless FF solutions on a mid range budget ($3-$7k USD). Happy with 1 motor (F) but extensibility is a plus. After a lot of looking, kind of settling towards the RT Motion solution as a good trade off between price, features, responsiveness, distance and build quality. It meets the price on the 1-motor solution but is also extendible to I/Z (or 2nd F for 3D etc.)

But really keen on thoughts from all of you on the RT plus alternatives.

We're doing drone/aerial work so distance is critical for us; the RT has 1.5klm line of sight (likely less in most conditions, but 800m is a feasible limit). Of course, we also do gimbal work (Ronin etc.) so having a wireless FF that has that kind of reach means playing nicer in wall-obstructed and denser situations (up to 100m).

RT motion ticks the boxes of light + durable and distance. Reported latency of 2ms; which I'm told is fairly much expected across most of the mid-premium range. That latency seems a little frustrating as we're running <=0ms latency on Bolt Pro 2000 wireless monitoring solutions.

Any thoughts, experiences and suggestions on RT or alternative high performance wireless FF greatly appreciated..

Cheers
Darren

We're loving our RT Motion for general purpose, Ronin and Drone work. AC's with no prior experience with it come away happy.

Thanks @Mark - have you experienced any concerns with the 2ms lag?

Any other perspectives ppl can share on RT and alternatives in the same mid-high end market? Really appreciate feedback on this before putting down some $$ and committing.

From NAB15, it seems RT is playing nice with both Weapon and Foolcontrol as part of an overall wireless ecosystem (?)

I have the RT motion and use it all the time, it works flawlessly. In the sky or on the ground.

Very happy w the rt- have had many AC's used to prestons say they were very happy w it- never had issues w lag....
The only time it gives a little trouble is when AC is very close or on dolly- (yes it is set to low power in those situations) but still cuts out if closer than 18".....
