Hey all... sorry to ask such a newbie question, but I'm trying to find some accessory that will allow me to attach my rather bulky Shure VP-88 Stereo mic in a typical ENG type configuration. The mic is 12 in long. I have the Wooden Camera cheeseplate on top of my Epic. I just need a way to mount the mic to the camera in a secure way. I don't even quite know what do a Google search for. Thanks for any input. -a

Well it looks like Shure makes a hot shoe type shock mount for this mic. That combined with Wooden Camera's Easy Stick (to offset) and Hot Shoe connector might do the trick. If you all know of a better solution, I'm open.

Any noga type arm will work as most shockmounts have a 1/4-20 thread on the bottom.

Thanks Bob. "Noga" is one of those words that I was unaware of. I searched for that on BH and found all sorts of things. Then I realized that was the same type of arm that shipped with my EVF. Before Epic, all I ever owned was a Sony camcorder for family vidoes. So I'm only now barely learning basic configurations and setups. Embarrassing. I am learning though and you guys are all very helpful.
