  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

People put images on websites to generate some kind of emotion.
In this case it worked to perfection. It operates on so many levels.
I think mounting a RED like a machine gun on the hummer is probably next.

Speaking for myself and all the others that don't fully understand the RED branding philosophy...I believe Red is of a new era. We are not meant to understand it, simply experience it. With so much of this industry built on the shoulders of cinema's past, I get the feeling that people believe its foundation is perfect and impenetrable. In reality the foundations of cinema were built from trial and error and found there way to their current state by breaking a path in a forbidden and uncharted world. This path had many twists and turns with many divisions and crossroads. From this massive web of paths emerged a single track, which over time has been well worn and comfortable for those who travel along it. At present, people are afraid to leave the path because it means change. Changes are what people fear most in life. Now People see a new road forming. It is dangerous and not well worn. Many people are stumbling and crying out, but others are strong and without fear. When you focus for a moment you can see that the road is much faster and more exciting. The people are not walking, they are running. They are all happy, but you are reluctant to leave your comfort zone, you are afraid of the unexpected. But you can also see where the road is leading. It leads to new foundation, to a new a growing world that embraces the digital age. As you examine it, is obvious that your current path is leading you into the realm of traditionalists, if you do not change paths, you will soon be looked at as a craftsman. Your methodology will be looked at as historical. You may like the status quo. You may be perfectly content spend the rest of your life retracing your steps over and over again. As for me I will spend the fleeting years I have left running towards the future, seeing as much of it as I can, experiencing every new emotion I come across. I will most likely bleed, fall and need to be carried, but I will be among those who have the same vision. This is a vision of a thrillingly unstable and exiting future. Take the path less traveled, because take it from me, if you don't, you may look back at your life and feel regret...there is nothing worst. Feel every emotion you can before you are forced from this world.

With that said, in the end, everything comes down to personal choices. Damn anyone who judges another for personal choices they have made. It is easy to judge from the comfort of a computer station, not knowing the who, what and why, that came before a specific event. The buzz this post is generating shows the genius behind it. Love it or hate it, those who have an opinion will communicate this to others. Others will listen, create opinions of their own, then the process starts all over again. It makes you feel an emotion. Whether it be love, lust, hate or envy, that imposed emotion defines the border between craft and art. Like it or not, if you have posted an opinion, you have elevated this image to a work of art because you felt something. I may hate it, or I may love, but thank you to the RED team for making me feel something!!! This is a world of average, apprehensive and self-conscious brands. Most of which, unstoppably unload there tons of emotionless, plastic, consumer driven products on us. Among this pile of garbage RED is a rebelous and emotional leader offering us tools of creation. RED is the wake-up call this world needs.
