  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

MEET FELIX....

So not only do we get footage... But some actual R3D files to play around with...is anyone still complaining?

What can we expect next Jarred? I bet you have a Rhino tucked away somewhere, or perhaps a flock of DoDo from Mauritius that you've been secretly breeding?

The Scarlet 2/3" images are very "EPIC-like"... but remember that EPIC has 2.77 times more resolution. Scarlet only has 2.28 times more resolution than 1080P. :-)

Yes, you should be ashamed. Go RED now! :)

O don't worry I am sure something badass will come along.. wild animals just seem to follow me around for some reason :)

I can't open the clip. All I get is a red X for the clip thumbnail. I downloaded the latest version of REDCINE-X posted in this thread. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

Hi Jarred, is there a codec/ plugin for CS5? I cant open the r3D on AE CS5 or premiere CS5.

Jarred has given you pre-release software. Scarlet footage would not be supported yet by 3rd parties.

Use the 32-bit version of RCX

This is my very first meet with redcine so be gentle :P

Woah...

that was quick =)

Thanks guys. This is the real deal.

I'm gonna play now, but as a heads up: 64 bit on Mac gives red X on the r3d.

The 32 bit version works.

See you...

ISO 1260 and then pushed a stop..

Looks absolutely stunning, I can't imagine how it looks in your 4K theater at Red Studios!

Call me stupid, but one of the things I like the most about it is that is not "super-uber-clean"..I mean, it's absolutely amazing how low the noise is, considering the high ISO and that it's been pushed a stop, but that little bit of noise in the low end (if that's what I'm seeing) is very "film-like", and I love it.

(disclaimer: I absolutely LOVE the "right" amount of film grain)

This is fantastic! I'm sure you have been wanting to let this cat out of the bag for a while (LOL)...

I have a question about that backdrop. Is it velvet? Where is it from?

David

Yeah its velvet.. Me and Jim went on a mission one day to find a cool background and ended up at some wallpaper store in the valley.

ARF!

It's too late.. hee hee! Congrats on getting the camera together and thanks much for the software and footage!

Best!
