  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Are you shooting 5k to CF's with nothing but a brain? How does it feel?!?!!

5K = Prototype = Serious Congrats.

That is just stunning blacks and color, and the detail in the highlights of the eye at full size... wow. just gorgeous and exciting as hell.

I tell you.. it is amazing what you can find walking down the streets in Hollywood.

Tattoos still are a bit away.. Remember, we are taking the time to get things right.

I think someone is making a point about just how good their compression algorithms are even at high resolution (although, with a JPEG there's a limit to how much you can pixel-peep.) At any rate, it looks pretty impressive to me.
 
Jarred, put them out along Alexa and nobody will complain. That's what I would do if I were you. I'd keep working on them till then and do my best to make Red as strong as possible so it can stick around for ever and keep providing inane capabilities at insane prices. All else will fall into place.

Which is very important.

It's one thing to have a number of people complaining about RED not hitting their scheduled release dates. It's another thing to hear an industry complaining about it's unreliability on the job...

If that's what you get with RC28 I honestly don't know what you'd need higher for.

This one jpeg has convinced me I don't need the SSD module (for the data rates CF can't handle). Way to talk yourself out of a sale, man :p

It's a nice picture and there is tremendous detail in the feathers, but to be fair there is also a lot of rather empty background :-). Not to worry though, eventually the system will be out there in use, and there will be plenty of images of all kinds to compare the details.
