Do I need to unmount CF cards and the RED Drive before I power down the camera if I have not finished using them? Or can I leave them attached to the camera until the next time I power up?

Does powering down the camera (without unmounting) with the RED drive or CF card still attached effect the files already shot? And, if I do leave the media attached, can I simply power up the camera again...say the next day, and continue where I left off?

Most definitely. But treat it just like you would a film camera and cover the exposed mount with your hand or body and "check the gate", in other words check for any dust on the OLPF.A little bit off topic...:
And change the lens while the camera is on?
Thanks
