Media formatting in build 15.

Before build 15, the formatting procedure was great. I could delete all files from a card on my computer, empty the trash, eject the card, put it into the camera and be prompted with a nice message. It would inform me I'd inserted an unformatted mag and ask if I wanted to format it. This was great.

Then the build 15 beta came out and the camera would bypass the warning step. It would sense an unformatted [or improperly structured] mag and format it without asking. This was bad.

Now the final version of build 15 is out. When I insert an unformatted mag, nothing happens. I have to go through the menus and format the magazine manually. This is frustrating.

Can we please have it go back to how it was in the first 14 builds?

I second that, together with the option to choose a reel number as discussed elswere, or a redesigned reel numbering procedure!

Should be done as it was in 14-th but if anything is still on the media it should give you warning that “content detected on the media, do you want to proceed?”

This is really slowing us down! The fumbling about trying to get into the menus might seem trivial in the day to day but when you have a frustrated director breathing down your neck asking why we can't roll it can seem like hours. Pleeeeeeseee go back to the way you had it 14, it was right on the money!
