  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

May Update... The month of Raven

Free Weapon upgrade for a few lucky people sounds like great news. This month is gearing up to great for many many people. Look forward to seeing all the amazing footage from everyones new Ravens. Being part of the RED family really is an amazing experience it seems like, no other company like it in the world. Looking forward to joining it. :)

As a newcomer to RED and (soon to be & patiently awaiting) Scarlet-W owner, it's incredible to see a company so communicative with their client-base. And - holy cow, Jarred - oh, so generously rewarding their users for positivity and patience and support 'just because'. Impressive. Glad this thread swayed to a more positive read as of late, but the communication and support on this whole forum make me excited to join this very large family.

I am going to sit down with Brent and select some of you Scarlet-W customers, including yourself, that had a good attitude on the first day of this thread and I am going to switch your Scarlet-W order to Weapon MGs for no extra charge when those lines start up again.

This is why the Red team is amazing. Haven't been on this forum in a few days and when I check back in, everyone is complaining and whining. Guys, come on. Complaining isn't going to get your camera in your hands faster. Keep up the incredible work Jarred, Brett and all you Red Heads :)

Or, to put a positive spin on it, my complaining helped some people get free Weapon upgrades! Haha! :lol:

Wow, that's awesome! Almost makes me wish I had made the jump to Scarlet instead of Raven, haha. But then I'd already have my camera anyway. ;)

Either way, that's a great move. What a company. This is why you buy a RED camera. Transparency, and rewarding people for doing the right thing. I love it. I'm not just saying it now, I'm saying it again—you guys are saints.

I placed an order for a RAVEN through my dealer in Vancouver the day after it was announced in September, I'm third in line. I paid the full amount at the end of January because the Canadian dollar was dropping so hard, .68 cents on the dollar (OUCH) and it was supposed to drop harder... then I waited for March, then the dollar went up and up and up, so I've spent even more than I had to... then I waited. Then I stopped reading REDUSER.

The dealer in Vancouver has been allocated their first RAVEN and I'm right on the heels of a new camera. Even with the extra cost, I'm still excited about getting a RAVEN, I'm still excited about shooting R3D, I'm still excited about shooting with a Dragon sensor; whenever I get the camera it's going to be an awesome day. Thanks for the update RED and for showing some love to the RAVEN list.

The folks on the "nice" side of Jarred and Brent's "naughty or nice" list have been notified via PM that their SCARLET-W will magically morph into a WEAPON Mg.

dman, crazy times. Congrats to those who get the upgrade. And I guess the "naughty" side are going to be a bit slower to post something now, haha, priceless.
