I need to create a Quicktime (shot on Dragon) with a 5.1 surround track and also 25 discrete audio tracks for a museum installation. We hope it can all be on a single file to make things easier and stay in sync, but is this even possible with Quicktime or is there a limit of tracks? If there is a limit, is there another type of file that would let us achieve our goal? Our theater tech tells me he can only do 16 tracks in the DCP, so I was thinking perhaps Quicktime could get us there.
The only other idea I had, which I hope to avoid, is movie video and surround on the DCP, and the DCP sends an RS232 trigger to a separate Mac that plays the 25 channel WAV.
