  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Matt Duclos's favourable review for new Schneider Cine-Xenar III lenses

Does that make them viable for Dragon then or no?

I didn't see them on the projector, so I can't say for sure. We did the quick and dirty tests at the end of the day. Dragon 5K no problem because that's pretty much a S35 frame size.

Im confused, the posts mention the lenses cover APS-H sensors which I thought was larger than Dragon but other posts suggest the lenses wont cover Dragon. Any clarity on this please.

Image circle is 32.5 + according to Matt. So they may well cover.

APS-H Sensors generally have a 1.3 crop (like Epic does now). However....Dragon is supposed get wider...and be a 1.2 crop sensor.

Apart from the review, Matt should also be congratulated on his web site's design. Very tasteful, very nice font size and style, not to mention text line lengths and legibility…

Had to comment, I live with a graphic designer.

It seems 34mm is the number to beat or zero in on, at this stage of what we know about Dragon.
