Hi guys,
does IPP2 basically do all the work here or is there a trick that someone might know that I should know?
Got some multi camera action on at the moment and trying to figure out how to make sure the images match. I have now in the studio the Epic-W Helium 8K, the Raven Dragon 4.5K, the Epic-X MX 5K and want to match them.
Cheers!

IPP2 ensures that everything works the same and color should be fairly close. But color charts are the way, as it has been for decades, to ensure everything is a match or can be if you are looking for that level of "match".

As always, the extremes of any system, i.e. severe overexposure or underexposure, can create an added level of difficulty when aiming at a perfect match. To ensure an easier time doing this, expose well, and you'll find it's fairly easy to nail it.

Thanks, Phil.

Appreciate it.

Yeah, I am going into lens testing tomorrow. I would like to have a pretty good match look. I have a few LUTS on the SUMO to monitor, so I can get a better idea by seeing all frames at once. Luckily it is in a studio environment, so everything is quite under control. I find them all quite close, the Helium is a very special sensor.

This. If you chart properly, any colorist can really match any camera. And charting on set and getting all the cameras to match before you roll, just makes their job even easier. Best of luck!

You know what, I will do that and chart it on set. Good idea! Thanks, Nick!

Cinematch looks like it supports all flavors of RED so that could possibly help too, I've been looking at that software more and more myself as several of my current 4K cameras will probably end up being C&D cameras once I start moving towards 8K+ productions.
