Hey wondering if anyone could help.

I bought my scarlet-w a few months back, used it without any issues (well to the body anyway) but i came back from a shoot today and have some really odd glitching (have viewed it in red cine-x and premiere and it shows in both.

its one frame every once in a while but it wasnt something i saw when filming or on playback on the monitor.

Im not running the beta firmware and its never done this before ....

I hope so I will go transfer again! If not maybe it could be the minimag, its a brand new minimag so maybe somethings up with it....

also thanks for the fast reply!

Hey, so ive transferred the footage again, thought it was all good as the files i noticed with the glitches had gone through fine, but upon watching back a few other clips, I noticed some new clips now had glitches, clips that didnt glitch on the first transfer... So you were right Cole, its happening on the transfer, but why? Im using a genuine red minimag reader, and somewhere in the transfer the footage is getting slightly corrupted each time.... never experienced this before and using the same setup as I usually do...

any suggestions would be great. next thing im going to try is transferring on my mac instead of pc to a different drive to see if it could be an issue with my raid drive or pc....

Are you using some sort of ingest that runs a checksum or just dragging and dropping into a folder? If you're just dragging and dropping I would suggest using something like silverstack instead. Also make sure all the cables are securely plugged in, I've seen data transfers corrupt some files because the cable wasn't all the way in or it got bumped slightly during the transfer.

Bumping the connector is a real issue in my experience. USB Micro-B is a terrible connector and I've already had to replace my red cable for the minimag reader because it was so touchy.

Minimag reader can also have problems on the USB connector side. Had to have one replaced (under warranty).
