Let me see if I can clarify this... "Magic Motion" is revolutionary. Those are not our words but the words of everyone who has seen it.

Magic Motion is the result of HDRx. More dynamic range and an incredible new way of seeing motion, that has been described as "more like you really see", or "unbelievable" or "incredible". This is something you really need to pay attention to... according to everyone who has seen it.

We believed that REDCODE was an incredible breakthrough at RED. The ability to record 4K to a CF card seemed impossible. But Ché, Knowing, The Informant, District 9, Social Network and a ton of other features proved that REDCODE was a real "event" in camera technology.

Now comes HDRx. Remember this post and date. HDRx is just as important, if not more, than REDCODE. We have tested it in the most demanding situations. It qualifies as one of the single most important breakthroughs of RED.

It looks amazing on the test samples we have seen so far... Great work!

Can you use Magic Motion without HDRx™ or do they only work together?

No Bullshit. Fucking amazing. Revolutionary is an understatement.

Great news and looking forward to seeing more !

Agreed Alex, Revolutionary is a big understatement. Everything I've seen so far looks incredible Jim! Any chance you have some more footage your dying to show off?! :)

The cool thing is that it is not a concept. It is the real deal.

Was that the faint echo of a troll mehing in a corner I heard?

I’m really curious to see “Magic Motion” on a big screen, can’t wait.

Gotta wonder if this kind of talk affects some of the opinions over in the Scarlet poll thread. *Doesn't matter now*

Keep at it boys.

What qualifies as "Demanding situations?"

As far as HDR I think the Vegas footage qualifies as demanding. The fast pan with all the bright flashing lights would be a nightmare for any previous HDR motion method.

Great news, will "Magic motion" also double the amount of data recorded?

RED stated before that Easy HDR with Magic Motion did not take a hit a far as data rate. HDRx is the only version that records two streams.
