Gotta love developing, funding, shooting and finishing a movie here. Shooting on RED, and it being the greatest damn camera ever made, is the best cherry on top.

The RED ONE was made in Singapore. EPIC (and Scarlet, the LCD and all new accessories) are made in the USA.''
Actually, even the RED ONE (since one year ago) was made in the USA.

The whole thread is political, Denizhan. Being proud of building products in America is political, and I have nothing against it ;-)
Hans, yes you're right, Germans still value "Made in Germany", but Germany makes more money selling them outside Germany. They export a lot, which is their strength.

After living here for a lifetime I can assure you he is correct

Almost every Oakley sunglass is made at the Foothill Ranch factory. Millions of pairs. And sold around the world in almost every country. RED will be the same. While this is cross grain to the way many other companies do it... it is possible.

It maybe political for some, but it is very commendable for many reasons. More companies should source local suppliers and build their products in their own back yard with local employees. It's good for the planet and can have a deep and meaningful impact on the local community. Well done Red.
This country is for dreamers and inventors who can make it happen ,Kristin your words appear on my screen here in California by INTERNET( formerly Arpanet). There is nothing political about it ....
The first ARPANET link was established between the University of California, Los Angeles and the Stanford Research Institute on 22:30 hours on October 29, 1969.
"Made in USA", especially that assembled in California sounds good.
It's just a EPC-M and X body I think.
It would be good to know that the plants are secured from fire and also with seismically safe build construction from earthquake that is so often in California.
BTW, RED Pro EVF aka RED Bomb that I already owe is Made in Germany.

RED Pro EVF aka RED Bomb is Made in Germany.
We had several things made outside the USA in the beginning... but are bringing everything we can back in. Singapore, Japan, Germany... all back in the USA.

Quoting me is nice, understanding me correctly is better ;-) English isn't my primary language, so I wouldn't give you lessons on this, but what I said was : "Being proud of building products in America is political, and I have nothing against it ;-)"
The subject of the sentence was "Being proud", not "Building", which was political ;-) Oh, yes, I gave you a lesson ;-)
Again, it's a good thing for America to have Reds made there, but if there are only Americans to buy them, well... ;-) Anyway, congratulations to Jim to try to make it possible.
We have started with the numbers you speak of... and expect to set in motion another 8 person team.
Put your helmets on. And get ready to send in your order.
