  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Made in the USA...

Jim Jannard and his legacy is known worldwide and Red products are sold worldwide like Oakley did in the past...We are talking about manufacturing in U.S soil improves the quality and the economy which is something to be proud of and that is not political in any meaning Kristin,I give you a big F in this class sorry you better study harder....

Thank you Master Denizhan :-) I will do my best to get to your level, which is quite impressive ;-)

Sanjin Jukic says " It would be good to know that the plants are secured from fire and also seismic safely build construction from earthquake that is so often in California"

What is your point ??????? This is ABSURD...........Seriously......it is..........

Sanjin,

This post is interesting but I find it's kind of in bad taste. I am not saying you are wrong. Sure, the picture shows that the BOMB is made in germany, great.

But you know that the people at RED live in California right? They have families and friends and all of that. To remind them that they live on a fault line and that as a customer you need to ensure that your camera can still be built in the event of an eathquake is a bit in bad taste. Sort of like if we asked the Japanese to make sure they continued to ship a lot of fresh Tuna when they were hit with Nuclear disaster.

Many points you make here are very valid, but this one feels like you are trying to rub someone's nose in shit and that doesn't sit right with me.

America is due for a rennaissance in manufacturing. It's OK that RED is proud to be proving that it can be done in America.

Respectfully,

David

David,

Sorry but I don't see it in that way.

No offenses to anybody and it was just to know that everybody is safe there, RED as a brand, production and also the workers inside of the plants.

Also it was questioned in a way of safety of all us, RED customers.

I'll never forget that Oakley headquarter house was a sort of SF but also a real bunker building.

Don't worry be happy ...I really like this song ...

This just got me even more excited for my Scarlet purchase! How cool is it that the thing I've been drooling over for years, probably the only other thing I'll own (other than my house) is made right here. Thanks Jim.

I love that! I have an uncle in Michigan who does just that - manufacture stuff in the USA. Treats his workers like family, makes a good living of it. Doesn't have to work hard to compete with China. Quality costs, simple as that. And we make software in the Netherlands and keep having to swat all the 'outsource to us in *insert low wage country*' guys down. No thank you, sir, lets do that another way.

PEOPLE DEMAND QUALITY NOT OUTSOURCING.......

Fair enough.

Point taken.

Although I agree with Benjamin Franklin. I think the bald eagle represent what U.S. culture is.
Great pic! Love the sunset faded with the flag in the back.

That's just brilliant Jim, well done indeed! 96% no rework is a nice number.

Jim,
One question... SILICONE valley???
What are the girls like there? :)
Cheers,
Harry
