UYUNI is now live! Macgregor posted an update here: http://reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=27300

Day 1...
Today was an incredible day of shooting on the Salt Flats. Very small crew. Great team. Shooting with Blair's #19. Macgregor will post a video clip later.

Well, here it comes, our first RED1 footage. There is not much correction, and it was done in my laptop,so probably it is darker for all you than what i see.

Hi guys.
Some new footage from today:

This is a quicktime untouched, just as it was recorded. No contrast added, no exposure adjustutaments. Pure as it comes.
We are using Zeiss superspeeds T1.3. Very soft lenses. I dont like them too much, but they are light and cheap.
320 ISO in this environement is crazy. I am using two ND filters (1,2 + 0.9) and still i have too much light. It is insane. RED 1 should come with built in ND filters. Strugling with two NDs at the same time causes relfexions, more time to set up the shots, dust inside... Basically i dont understand why not going that way (built in NDs), as most cameras these days.

Dinamic range seems good. All the information is kept in the histogram. And i dont have to make any compromises.

Awesome looking stuff! Man, what a location.

Can't wait to see the RED results.

Good job protecting your outputs... :)

I'd say you just won the best RED footage - outstanding still photos, can't wait to see the RED footage. Very Very good... send this to Chiat Day and you should have a job... Incredible... Look forward to more!

Outstanding BTS shots and what an awesome location to shot in!

I think I remember seeing this title as a DVXuser festival entry earlier this year, that never got made. Looks like he waited for Red - and with a landscape like that who can blame him.

some people just have all the fun....

So clean, love the way this feels. Red certainly has a look that is very pleasing, hard for me to describe really.

Nice tape protection! I remember talking about 6 months ago in a thread on someone making custom rubber covers or insert caps to protect all the plugs on the side of the RED for this kind of aplication.

Great work guys and good luck with the rest of this shoot.

Awesome stuff, guys. Like one user noted a while ago, you can't quite put a handle on the Red footy - half filmlike, half lifelike, it's crazy, but welcome.

I love the footage. Great job. I could really get use to this look and style that the red has brought to us. Can't wait to see more. I think this is a great start out the gate.

Have the clients been happy with what they have seen with the Red?
Do you feel this Technology will catch on?
