This was shot by David Fincher on a RED ONE with a Mysterium-X sensor at ISO 2000 and a Master Prime at T 1.3 (or slightly stopped down from there). Key light is only a match. When the match goes out, Leo's face goes black.

There is absolutely no noise reduction in this shot.

This shot looked great projected. I was blown away by how bright Leo's face was when the match was struck. I had a chance to play with the clip in RedCineX and it looked great. I set the ISO at 2000 and used the new REDColor and REDGamma and there was good room for grading. Very exciting.

Monstro would add a few more stops, but this is hands down enough for my book...Damn it Jim this looks too good. As someone who does majority of my shooting with natural light, this could not come sooner! Thanks for posting.

Very nice....

Very nice....

I can't wait to see these pictures move... Thank you for the stills! And thanks to all the people who went to Red Day and reported the great news for those of us who could not attend. Cheers!

When I look out at the development curve on this sensor, I'm just floored. In just a few short years ( a blink of the eye in industry terms) You guys have made amazing progress. The future is so yours its not even funny. That's quite a gauntlet you're laying down to your competition. You really would have to think twice about trying to compete against you. I'm really glad to have bought in when I did. This sensor will enable me to finally shoot a project I've been waiting to tackle, I can't wait till it gets here.

Most of the time when you buy technology, your investment just evaporates so quickly. I really appreciate you're looking out for my money like this, Jim. Thanks.

...and people were posting their Red ones wont be worth anything after Epic/Scarlet is released.

Very nice indeed.

That looks freaky good, and I realize this is probably still prototype footage. If Monstro can make a similar leap forward over M-X, that will be very exciting. I'm ready to upgrade, I wanna play too. :)
