Hey,

Is there any way to convert LUTs into a Look for a DSMC1 camera (RED Epic MX)?
I would like to put a Look onto my L3G10 settings in camera, but don't know how without producing the look myself in Redcine-X.

Thanks

A LUT is much more complicated than a Look Preset and can't be converted into one.

LUT's aren't supported inside DSMC1 brains, minus the broadcast module.

Broadcast module is the way to go for the LUT on DSMC1.

I've tried several times to go for the IPP2 workflow in post for the DSMC1 line - personally, on most of my occasions I didn't find any huge benefit of using IPP2 on lit scenes. I'd stick with RG3 or 4 for the DSMC1 line for the preview - it's almost identical to what you get when going for the IPP2 default settings. Besides, I didn'y find any real highlight save on scarlet MX with IPP2.

Okay, thank you guys for the quick reply!
I think I'll try going with RG4 and look, how well it does.
I'm really looking forward to working with IPP2 in Premiere, haven't really done any intensive testing on IPP2 with the MX sensor myself so far.
But good to know that you didn't find too much of a difference in overall highlight recovery Alex. Did you find any situations were IPP2 was worth the extra effort though?
