  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I swear, if Epic/Scarlet starts shipping soon, I'm going to be so excited. I've prepped myself for a 2011 release, so now anything earlier will be a pleasant surprise!

I like the way they started a thread about "Focus" and suddenly Jarred just commented, as if it weren't so important, that the camera used to take the first pic. was a Fixed 8x Scarlet: now believe we might have access to it in 2010 ! Please show us some more footage of the Fixed 8x !
 
Just when i am compositing horrible horrible HD footage (gosh you don´t believe how disgusting the blue channel looks like not even to talk about artifacts from bright light etc pp) from a Sony F23 out of Hollywood you don´t believe how I was sniggering all day with these announcements that foreshadow the end of an era where only an elite with access to tons of money has the tools to impress quality wise. Its good to have believed in RED all along even people looking at me strangly calling me fanboy and whatnot. Ones the things ship it will be the most satisfying feeling to finally shoot something in a quality that actually makes it worth it to spend countless of hours in post cause the end result is actually something that the normal public will accept as professional. (and don´t come with your DSLR thing, unkeyable, almost ungradable H264 nightmares will haunt you to the end of days)
 
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC....Bring it on now, there is NOBODY that is willing to wait, its just to Good.

Hopefully a Scarlet 2/3 deposit will open soon, and we'll see the camera in early 2011 at the latest.
 
This is great news.

Yesterday I picked the lint out of my iphone headphone jack and photographed it.

I actually considered posting it here.

It was a surprising amount of lint that can build up in there. :)
