  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Louis Vuitton commercial

Was happy to see they did not flare those hawks.. then for the two last shots I guess they could not hold back... Really like hawks at 5.6 and at the most with a glare. I find it hard to understand why everyone who use anamorphics tries hard to make it look like startrek. Usually I think those flares take away to much attention.

:)

Anamorphic trend is just a hype, but without such a hype wrapping thing this industry wouldn't survive...

...an ordinary Joe or a Jane, they both don't see so much or any difference between anamorphic or spherical...!!!

I'd beg to differ sanjin... first of all its not a hype... a hype doesn't last that long since the 50s.
Joe and jane might not differentiate if a film is shot on anamorphic or spherical, they sure can notice the difference in the quality of the film.

The choice between spherical and anamorphics is usually one of personal choice, and I've seen beautiful footage shot with both types of lenses. Bjorn, I agree with you one hundred percent in that I think the anamorphic lens flares are way overdone these days.

An ordinary Joe or Jane can't tell the difference between a kit lens and a Leica, but they will feel it. They can't tell the difference between a free reverb plugin and a 12,000 rack mounted unit. But the countless details that an artist has sensitivity for culminate in a work that affects them. That's why artists are required and good ones are rare.

beautiful job…i'm so glad I kept my moviecam sl and bought a mess of kodak 35mm for my next shoot..

Very well stated Brett!
