  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

LOOM - ONLINE

I couldn't resist (even though I'm a bit late on the chain)... I am so proud of this film and all it represents both in it's process and in it's final outcome. Jim and Jarred, you guys are animals. Straight up renegades. Working with y'all was truly inspiring and I can't wait for the next one!

Way cool....

Right back at you bud ;)

Giovanni is the true leader of the stud patrol. We have never worked with a better actor. We have never worked with a better friend.

O______O

Awesome.

There are 2.. the REDRAY built into the projector, and a standalone. So you are covered both ways.

Thanks for the info, Jarred! I'll have a very, very heavy luggage to carry come NAB 2013... :)

You best start posting to get to the top of the ranks, you're a REDuser already with your Epic and Scarlet!

Wow! I´m happy I could finally see it. Like Lorenzo I understand the poster now. Thank you for this download. This is very generous.
I love the sensitive acting of Giovanni Ribisi within this strong pictures of Dariusz Wolski. This short is truly epic.
What a great team you are!
Thanks,
Marc

Someone tell Giovanni Ribisi this is a real names forum

Classic

Looked great in it Giovanni, my favorite part was your place in the film and the way they showed your character, very real and human

I really enjoyed it. not sure i understood it to the level intended but i was still very engaged.

Giovanni Ribisi was great as always. ive been a fan since boiler room, and before that the postman.

Loom will be only be released in 3D on REDRAY this christmas.

Will this video come with REDRAY player or the projector like they sometimes do with Sony players? or possibly with RED movies? That would be cool. So, you would have a couple of RED movies or videos to begin your first viewing?

Just a suggestion...

Thanks for your contribution.......I love your work.

Thanks Steven for posting the image.. hopefully that will let people understand the difference.

And yes the projector is playing 4K 10bit each eye now.. has been for awhile now. The next couple weeks is hardcore integration time paring the Projector together with REDRAY as the RR ASIC is now out of the oven. ( all the RED RAYS we have demo'd in the past have been FPGA based ) It's getting close :)

unfortunately.. the escalating engineering work to get it done in time for the end of the year means we the projector will be absent from IBC this year. ( we couldn't get our big theater all the way to Amsterdam anyways ).. but if anyone is in town they are more than welcome to come see LOOM and others in 4K in the studio in hollywood ( after IBC )

Awesome, thanks Jarred. Even the 2k/8bit version I saw was great, I'd really love to see the ugraded version... have to find an excuse to get form the East to the West coast again. :)

Appreciate you sharing info on the projector. Jim also mentioned additional work "ghost busting" with the projector optics... did the upgrade do anything on that front as well?

PS- Jarred, it was also good to meet you at the NAB party at the Trop... altho I do have to chuckle that when you asked me, "So, what going on, you got anything cool to tell me?" I came up blank... I'm a fan of your gear and your style, but not currently an owner, lol. :(

? what kinda help?

How do I uninstall the Red Rocket Drivers on Mac OS? FYI my mac will sleep when I boot off a HD with no RR Drivers and the RR installed, I want to manage when I need the Rocket and when I need to sleep the Mac via drivers being installed (much easier than swapping the RR in and out). IF the RR installer had an Uninstall option that would be a huge help but Im happy to manually remove them to mange it if I knew where to find the drivers.

Thanks

It is a A LASER LIGHT SOURCE. So it still uses a CHIP.

They have not said what sort of tech they are using beyond it being a laser system... So yeah, you might be right.

It takes longer to remove the drivers than it does to reboot your system. Seems a bit pointless, IMO... If you're not using the system, just shut down. You can have the system do a full shutdown, rather than just sleep, after an period of inactivity.

...But yeah, would be nice if the Rocket's current drivers would allow sleep on OSX.
