  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

looking for powerful LED open face, any recommendations?

I have seen the release of the Aputure 330 II, looks good but the Hive form factor is better suited to my use and already having two 100C's
its tempting to stick to one mount. Not in any urgency to switch to LEDs,
 
The Genaray Powerhouse 330W just came out and it's supposedly more than a stop brighter (twice as powerful) as the Aputure 300D (the original, not the 20% brighter mark ii)

Also sold in China under the HA-3300B NiceFoto 330W brand. I will probably be getting a few of these in the future, as it seems to outperform everything else out there at that price point.
 
I have Aputures. I bought 25' header cables and can easily put them high with any modifier. The Bowen's mount is a little fiddly but otherwise I love them. Versatile and powerful.
