Hello,

I'm thinking of shooting a 2 hour long live event with 1 camera, sound is critical.

I want to be able to record as long as possible without stopping but if I need to stop once or twice during the entire event, I can live with that.
Furthermore, I don't mind shooting in 2k or increasing the compression ratio (within reason).

Would it be possible to shoot this long with the Scarlet or RED one? Will they overheat?

Thank you

Should be fine with the scarlet, a 150+whr battery, 256gb redmag or 2x 128gb if you can stop to reload.

Since you are shooting the concert I assume you have permission from the Band and Promoter ... see if you can get an audio feed from the sound board. Either wireless to the camera or to something like a zoom recorder.
