  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Will do Rob! I see that you previously lived in Bklyn. I grew up and still have a house there, small world! We'll have to meet up and chat sometime!

I agree Scott. I think TX is a bit overdue. The last one was fun. The next would be a whole different animal. Many more Redusers than there were 2-3 years ago.

Fellow Houston filmmakers,

I just moved to Houston from San Antonio and I want to make friends with local filmmakers. I don’t know anybody in Houston so I figured Reduser was the place to go. I’m mostly a screenwriter (I’ve written two screenplays) so I don’t own a Red camera (although i’m pretty familiar with cameras/filmmaking) but I wanted to offer whatever kind of help I could be to anyone willing to let me tag along on shoots or projects (I’m willing to offer up my car to lug stuff around). I’d also just like to meet up to watch films.
If anyone wants to help me out, please let me know. Alternatively, maybe you have tips on meeting filmmakers around here. Please let me know anything you think would help me out. Very much appreciated!

I'm a Scarlet-X owner, 2/3 of my time NYC and about 1/3 Dallas. Definitely would love to meet y'all if there's enough interested for another get together! I'll definitely be back mid-May until the end of June for a gig, so something around that time would be great.

I just found this thread (a few years late - but hey, we were just authorized as a RED reseller in January, 2015).

It seems like Omega would be a good facilitator of a user group meeting.

I'm happy to consider something every few months - and we can move it around (Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio) if desired.

Let me know if anyone is interested.
