  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Just wanted to post a quick update. I have been shooting a little film with Sam Jackson, Jessica Alba & Hallee Steinfeld on 2 Dragons here in Atlanta for a few weeks and I am so happy with the images and the workflow....

My only issue is a gaffer used to film who thinks there is too much dynamic range!!!

what is the workflow? are you using Rocket-X? or muscular GPUs? any interesting prototyping happening? definitely interested in hearing how people are posting footage from these cameras.

funny that your idea of a teeny tiny film sounds similar to the biggest film I've yet worked on (also with Jessica Alba, entitled Dear Eleanor, shot in Colorado)....reduser is a very unique place that way...

There will always be problems!

For workflow I have a good local guy Stuart Huggins, doing onset backup and he has a colorist in his company who does color work and transcodes to DNX Avid files and H264 dailies which are our on my Ipad everyday.
Not using Red Rocket X but 8 core PC... Seems to be working. We generate about 80 minutes of dailies everyday from our A & B dragons....
