  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Light Iron FCP-X Workflow for Editor Metadata

FCPX exporting support is not in that build. New FCPX update almost complete. If you'd like, pelase send me your XML and your Live Play project file to "liveplay [ at ] lightiron [dot] com and we'll turn around an FCPXML for you.

Hi Michael- that's okay, thanks for the quick response.

I am proofing this workflow for possible integration with our existing production team's FCPX workflow, but I don't have an immediate deadline per a specific project- although I am eager to finish testing it for a few (unique, I feel) reasons. Looking forward to seeing this released, as I am sure you are.

I can't agree more with Dustin, the same here I'em planning integrating your tools in our workflow. Final Cut Pro X and REDcode baby. ;)

Michael, by the way you might not remember me but we talked about the LilyPad at the IBC last year. May I contact you about this?

Special thanks to all the Live Play & Todailies users that have been patient with awaiting FCP-X support. I promise you: we are working on something very, very exciting and we're close to finishing it. We've been building a massive upgrade with Light Iron Server that is going to expand the use of the tool in a way that you will all be able to instantly deploy in the field. Plus, I can assure you that the new features of these tools are going to be well worth the wait. I plan to do some previews in the near future, and am certain for many people, this upgrade will change their entire production pipeline. But above all, thank you for the patience as we near a special preview announcement.

Seriously, I am already building a work flow around LI Server so I am excited about the new stuff. You had me worried that you had moved on from this.

The arrival of FCPX hinted at a time of hassle free flow of information from set to post that would change everything about the way we work. There are only three or four places where I might expect these things implemented. Light Iron is one of those places.

This is indeed very exciting news. Let's have it! =-)
