Hi guys,

I have just received my camera back after the Dragon upgrade and the canon lens mount is not recognised and therefore have no access to iris etc etc. Do I need to do something for the module to be seen. The mount was sent to RED with the camera, I have taken it off and checked seating etc etc but still no joy.

Just tried re-installing firmware with the mount attached but no joy, I don't have another mount which is a pain

Yep just done that removed the mount, re-installed software and then re mounted the canon mount still no joy, starting to get desperate now as I need the camera for a job just after Christmas

No amount of reinstalling with the actual Nikon mount on or off worked for me. I had to install the firmware with the PL mount on. Then the camera gave me the message that it was upgrading hardware and after shutting down and installing the Nikon mount, it worked perfectly again.

Just tried another canon mount and it works, re-installed software with the PL and still no joy. Very frustrating as everything was working fine when I sent the camera in. Crappy time of year to happen too....

I have had an awful time with the Nikon aluminum mount. Using the 24, 35 and 50mm 1.4 G primes, the iris won't open up upon attachment. I have to deattach and reattach... sometimes takes over 100 tries before the iris opens up properly. Once I get a wide open iris, I must carefully tap the close iris button until I get the desired f.stop. If I go past the f.stop I wanted, there's no going back. The iris will not open back up. Back to attach/deattach. The crazy part is is that the iris seems to open up to all sorts of fstops (except wide open) when I'm attaching it. It's like the arm in the mount has a mind of it's own. Crazy I tell you! Crazy!

The new Nikkor 20mm 1.8... no issues at all

Agreed, it's just fustrating that a working mount was sent in and a faulty one comes back, bit if a nightmare as red is now closed.
