Lens Mount Cover?

[Gavin Greenwalt]

Does anyone make a mount cover for Epic/Scarlet?

[Brook Willard]

Like RED's lens mount cover?

[Gavin Greenwalt]

Yeah. Do they sell that though? I can't find it in the store.

[Alan Skinner]

Hmmm,

I had seen that picture before and imagined that I would receive that cover with my EPIC-X. I got the cover where the SSD module was mounted in my package. Mine came with the PL mount and I have since installed my Canon Ti mount but the lens mount cover was not with my delivery.

So, it would be nice to have but where do you get one?

[Brian Iannone]

Yeah. Do they sell that though? I can't find it in the store.

Unfortunately, RED doesn't sell the DSMC Front Body Cap by itself. http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?73622-DSMC-Front-Body-Cap

Sounds like another job for Atomic 13.

[Gavin Greenwalt]

Sent them an email. *fingers crossed* but probably wouldn't be for a while even if they did...

I have some left over lens boards for the Epic that did not pass the flatness QC. I see if I can make them into covers- would be perfect for this....

[David Bourla]

I tried. They dont sell that a la carte.

[Daniel Zlotin]

I have one. i can sell it to you

[Jason Comparetto]

We also have some from previous experiments. Let me know if you need them.

[Gavin Greenwalt]

Thanks but it looks like an official solution is out now.
