LEICA R on RED: Pictures

Thanks Marcel, do you know (or anyone) about an EF - LPL Adaptor or plans to develop one? From the flange distance it seems to be possible at least...

Nice, well done!

Has anybody tested the panasonic 25mm leica summilux lens and compared it a summilux-r? (I have bought the pocket 4K, which is an MFT sensor and got some summicrons, but leaning on also buying a summilux kit, but that will set me back pretty good).
I know its no manual lens, but maybe the look is quite the same except coating, have no idea at this point, cant find any information about it.

I found a summilux-r 50mm v1 3169 serial number. Is this still a great lens? How much is a good price for it? (as people seem to favor v2)

My latest, shot on the Monstro and Leica R's (gemini on the Movi)

Looks great, what lenses did you use exactly and at what aputure? Do you ever shoot wide open on 1.4 on a summilux for example? Or always stopped down like F2/2.8?

I shot a lot 35mm, 50mm and 80mm rarely wide open, the images look good wide open but focus is a joke so on something like this I try and stop down. 70-180 got used a fair amount at the beginning. Such a nice lens, 2.8 for some of it too!

That's awesome Giles!

What summilux-r is your favorite lens? I own the summicrons, but want to upgrade one to summilux, but still not sure to get the 35mm or the 50mm summilux-r? Any recommendations?

Joe: I have a set of P+S Leica R and must say the 35mm Summilux-R is gorgeous and sharp at 1.4 . If I had to choose one, I would go for the 35mm as I don't find myself shooting a 50 or 80mm at 1.4 often but the look of 1.4 on a 35mm is very interesting in terms of background separation on a medium shot for example. The main issue with the 35mm is that is quite rare and expensive.
