  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

LEICA R on RED: Pictures

Good point. I guess it also depends on how many setup changes you're doing or how fast the DP wants to go from sticks to handheld etc... But, I guess AC's did all that with a whip before wireless anyways... What wireless system were you using? I 2nd'd a couple days recently where we were on a Fisher 10 all day, but the 1st wanted to use the wireless anyways. She just hit calibrate while she walked over to her monitor and we never missed a beat. Good to have different tools available still.

Anyone have experience with Leica R 21-35 3.5 Vario-Elmar Asph?

Started using this one about two years ago and find it to be an excellent zoom option with similar performance to the primes and matches other later Leica Rs well. Optically its sweet spot is definitely on the long end.

Nice work Diego! Though I'm not much of a cruise ship fan, it was an interesting approach and tie-in.

Worked on our first narrative piece yesterday and used the Leica 28mm 2.8, Leica 35mm 2.0 and Leica 50mm 2.0.

Just a few stills from one of the scenes. Adjusted in premiere with lumetri for a quick recap of what we shot. Shot on the Scarlet-W. Really loving these lenses!

Ugh. Really? Guess I have to jump on the Leica train now. Who has an extra 35 Cron they can part with? I don't mind a beater as long as the focus is smooth and the glass is clean.

So what’s the general opinion of the 135mm f/2.8? It’s definitely on the cheaper end in terms of Leica R lenses, but I can’t seem to find many reviews of it online. I really like the 135mm focal length, but I already own the 80-200mm f/4. This might be an odd comparison to compare a zoom and a prime, but besides the extra stop of light I’m getting for the 135mm prime, does it have any other advantages over the 80-200mm like better bokeh, micro-contrast, etc.

Thanks!

Hi,

I got 19mm V2. I'm looking for step up ring for it but don't know which size I have to get.
Could someone give me advise?

Thanks

simply amazing, especially considering the fact that this glass can be had for (relatively speaking) little money on eBay...

beautiful pictures, good job.
