  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

LEICA R on RED: Pictures

I'm afraid the 35-70 has a much better IQ than the 28-70. ;)
Never used it so take it with a grain of salt, but I've heard the 28-70 wide open is terrible.
For the same price on the second hand market, the 35-70 is a no brainer.
B.

The 28-70 I believe is a third party lens, and not true Leica. Maybe its Sigma? A very similar (if not identical) third party zoom is also available in the Contax lineup.

The evening sky's been unusually clear for this time of year with large thunderheads quickly forming over the last few nights. Shortly before dusk yesterday I set out to capture some time-lapse sequences on my Scarlet @ 1fps 5k 3:1 at a nearby park with nice 360˚ views of the sky.

First scene was with my summilux-r 35 then Summicron apo 90 for the rest.
Here are the sequences, unedited and about 1:20 secs

Heya Fellow Leica Fanatics,

I'm about to sell my Angenieux Type 2 25-250 PL with lens support.

But if anyone wants to trade it for a Leica r 19mm v2 - It'd save me the do-si-do :)

PM me if interested.

Thanks,
Mark

I was working on a test shot with the 35mm 1.4 and my Epic when this bee flew so close that I had to capture him.

The trailer for the film I mentioned earlier came out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPRMjTXcOvs

Shot on Scarlet X with Leica R Elmarits and Tiffen Smoque.

The two exteriors at the beginning were shot on the BMPC and a handful of the flash frames were B angles which was an Epic Dragon. All my lenses covered Dragon, btw, including the 19mm.

Super Look!

And great trailer.

Hey guys,

How do you go about posting images on the forum. I've never really got my head around the process. Everything i've shot has been on my personal set of Leica R lenses and would love to share screen grabs if its okay.

Best,

Abe Espinoza

Yes, come join the party – more the merrier. Here's one way to go about it...

Post/upload the photos online, like to your own site or a free service like photostream.
Once its up, click on the image and copy the image URL.
In the quick reply editor here click the picture icon (3 from the right) and paste the URL of your image into the field... and walla!

Look forward to seeing your work

A little love for my Leica's!

:)

Some great examples there as usual David!

Now I can't wait to pair my Leicas with the BT Epic Dragon that just arrived. Should be a nice upgrade over Scarlet X...
