Can anyone recommend some LED options I need a ton of it to light a set (built in) I want something with a high cri and RGB. I know of litegear but on this project its a bit outside the budget. I tried the homedopt stuff but the spacing on the lights are too far apart causing some wierd shit to happen. Any other options you have experience with? I want to create light trails on them built in a plexi glass room should make fro some cool reflections.

Thanks,

Keep in mind that inexpensive LED power supplies are basically a step-down transformers and a bridge rectifier, which will cause flickering if you are not shooting at 30 or 60 fps. Better power supplies convert to pure DC and some use high frequency pulse width modulation for flicker free dimming.

What Brandon has ( brandon@hybridvigorfilm.com koraLED.com ) is some of the best LED solutions I have seen. Hi CRI, priced right and soon to be many options (DIY strips, flicker-free fadeable controllers, panels, hi-throw-pars in the pipeline).

He is utterly swamped catching up on orders but if you are patient, you'll be rewarded with very nice light.
