  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Would be a 10 track recorder priced somewhere between the MixPre6 and 633, I assume.

Big ups on the 4-pin hirose power input and BNC TC I/O! :001_cool:

Price will probably be closer to the MixPre 6 than the 633.

However, I'd still prefer anything in the 6-series from SD over any other mixer/recorder out there....unless the Wingman app will allow for more controls over the unit than what it currently has. I'm thinking something along the lines of what foolcontrol (thanks Mikael!) does on camera. :wink5::wink5::wink5:
 
Whoa, worth upgrading the Zoom F8 for those preamps. That's a freakin' bargain

I'm quite proud I had a world first in reporting this last night ;-) I didn't realise just how close the announcement was though :-o Wow, that came very quickly afterwards, only 8 hours or so later.

Be proud for the sleuthing! There was a light hint of this thing at NAB 2017, but I actually thought it was coming next year. Looks like the future is literally this month for release.
 
It is interesting at this price with built-in timecode generator and all but its have gotten so "large" due to all inputs. I would never need that many inputs! For audio bags its perfect thoe (and the main focus for it).

I wonder if I might have accidentally pushed them to announce this a little bit earlier than intended ;-)

Because google cache shows that this hint had been on their website for a whole month, then the morning after I publish the blog, they announce it! :-o

It is still a little tiny bit more narrow than the length of a 633, and roughly half the thickness of a 633.

So still very small! (as the 633 is tiny too!)
