It is a figure of speech... meaning that we are working around the clock to get EPIC out the door. Don't try to guess a timetable from this post. We still have the ASIC to finish... then firmware and testing... oh, and assembly, QC and packaging.

So let me guess - lots of things can still happen -Like a design flaw that could not be anticipated on the simulator could come out on the first batch of test ASICS, meaning that it is impossible to know when the ASIC will be production ready. On the bright side, could this mean that current RED ONE users could pay for the Mysterium-X upgrade program before EPIC-X ever ships?

I think what Jim means is that those of you with RED ONE cameras have cameras while those of you who do not, don't. :/

In hindsight, I should have bought one when I was going to, but the tease of Scarlet kept me at bay. Owning a RED ONE is like having a camera with benefits.

It is more than this. From a perspective of owning a Sony HDCAM and $100k of 2/3" glass not so long ago, changing over to Red One was like being born again. It is much better, smarter camera with excellent support, passionate team behind it, and great future. It is also much more rewarding camera with only limitations being the operator. :blushing:
