  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Landscape with EPIC...

nice shot.
cheers

One real advantage to shooting landscapes on an Epic is the use of very expensive and awesome PL glass, like Master Primes, Leica Summilux C, and rare lenses like the Ultra Prime 8R. Yes, you could use a PL-converted Canon 1D4, but the Epic actually has more resolution, better dynamic range, and less vignetting.

Nice work Jim... totally my kind of stuff.

I went to Red Rock Canyon early this morning with Mick Plumridge, Peter Lik's right hand, to test shoot EPIC like a landscape still camera.

15 minutes there and a quick grade.

Beautiful...

I can't wait for the 617...

Beautiful!! I guess this means that the "still" mode is now active on Epic or? Does this mode have a larger amount of stops in HDR mode combined into one frame? (for example five different exposures 1s, 1/4s, 1/16s, 1/96s, 1/384s). Btw, can you flip out the IR-filter on Epic easily (im doing photometric 3d point generation with IR-pattern, and doing this with a Epic, would be so much better than another camera currently being used :)...)? Anyway, very nice image!!

No HDRx needed.

You know what's really insane with this shot? You can move in and in and in
Even when it's compressed for the web. 5K is Sick and Red Dragon awaits
This quick and dirty shoot is an Epic American Landscape - wow is right

Feature movies... Vogue covers, landscapes. EPIC. Whatever you need.
