Is that right that data rates of Komodo compares to about 2:1, 4:1 and 6:1?

It look like they choosed to use very high data rates. I would have wished an option with 8:1 or 10:1 for docu work.

It's more or less correct.

They used data rates that high because Komodo uses DCT compression instead of DWT compression method (by design, because of in-camera processing VS temperatures) which don't handle higher compression rates as well.
