Are people finding any play between the RF mount on the Komodo X and using mount adaptors such as for Nikon or PL? I've have had an issue with the OG Komodo and my Nikon adaptor with a lot of play between the two. I assume the new lens mount locking mechanism on the X solves this.

Thanks

I notice a tiny bit of slop/wiggle before engaging the lock, between my Meike Locking EF to R adapter. Once I remember there's an RF lock the tiny bit of wiggles immediately disappears.

I have both cameras, definitely the locking mount on the X is much more solid and virtually eliminates play.

I still add a support when using PL lenses (where I am likely to have a higher torque focus motor or a heavier lens). Just want to note that Bright Tangerine says their lens adapter support for Komodo is not compatible with the Komodo X, but it does work with my Metabones PL adapter. You just have to tighten the locking tab a little so that it's out of the way before you lock down the support.

I also have the Vocas LPL adapter with support collar, haven't tried it yet.

I had a helluva time trying to find a PL mount whose support was compatible with the center-post style lens mount support of my Mid49 arca-style baseplate. The metabones plain PL to RF adapter's support foot is about 1mm too tall and keeps the camera plate from sitting flush. I ended up getting the Wooden Camera K-X specific PL to RF adapter which worked great since the WC baseplate is the same style as the Mid49. With the mount support, a good quality mount, and the locking collar on the K-X, the thing is completely solid at this point.
