Hello All,

I am getting an odd issue where on some clips my noise floor changes quickly and dramatically. The change flashes across only some of the sensor - almost like a strobing rolling shutter artifact (it of course is not, but that is what it is reminiscent of.)

ISSUE RESOLVED:
User error. I realized I was only experiencing the issues while performing ISO noise tests at 3200 ISO and above. The sensor calibration was performed at 800 ISO. This was the issue. Apologies for my ignorance!

Have you tried using different media?

Good question! Yes - have the issue when using two separate RED Pro cards as well as two separate RED approved SanDisk cards. Same problem using all. This also happens even when not recording - the iPhone screen record is with the camera simply turned on - not rolling.

Out of curiosity you've run a Sensor Calibration correct?

Outside of that, I'd contact RED support.

Hey Phil,

Yeah - issue occurs with both Factory calibration and with User calibration.

Reached out to RED support as well - was just hoping it was an ID10T error (it was - see post above).
