  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Komodo shipping?

Placed my order just a couple weeks ago with UniquePhoto because they said "Ships in 5 days". It didn't ship quite that fast but I did get the shipping notice today, UPS says it'll arrive next week. Let's see how this pans out lol, feels unreal considering the wait times others have had.

PS- As powerful as I thought Komodo would be it continues to surprise me.
Between the size and the integration with RED Control, this camera inspires a different if not evolutionary approach to filmmaking.
And the image quality (particularly color, grain/noise profile and feel of the OLPF) is outstanding.
The camera is worth the wait.

In fairness, the world is quite strange at the moment. That an American made product isn’t as available to you in Germany would not be unusual during normal times, and completely understandable during present times.

You should see the backup of container ships at the port of Long Beach right now, mostly brought on (as I understand it) by a shortage of longshoremen and truck drivers not returning to work. For all you know, your camera might be sitting on the dock, waiting to be loaded on to one of those ships just parked in the harbor. RED certainly has nothing to do with that.
 
Hey alll i finaly got my own RED Komodo HURRAY ordert it about 3 Month ago from https://www.xinegear.com/ and i was supposed to arrive end of August but then end of September and last week a got an email that one guy could afford and i was one spot up in the list and now i have it HURRAY :D

Seems like Komodos are popping up everywhere. Finally in Europe too. Have been on preorder since January 2021, and just got an email saying it's in stock. So unreal.

I order my Komodo from B&H in the end of July and nothing yet no news from B&H I call Every week and the talk me they don’t know when I will get my.
 
Me and my business partner was discussing how we need more Konodo's for our business but we don't want to pay hype prices nor wait a few months for delivery. Went searching the net this weekend for who had stock and low and behold Full Compass shows "In Stock". I whipped out the wallet faster than the fastest cam whip and pounced! Jim from Full Compass emailed me this morning that it shipped today!! I'm happy and no complaints from me. Made my week for sure!!
 
And I just bought the last one Full Compass had in stock!

Super thanks for the heads up on the stock situation!

Ordered from RED Sept. 3rd. On Thursday I got notice saying it will ship in the next few weeks. Then got the notice yesterday it shipped and arrived today. I'm excited! Christmas came early!
 
I ordered mine May 3rd and got it Friday Oct 1st.
 
Ordered end of Sept, delivered end of Oct. Directly from Red.
 
Anyone receive a Komodo directly from RED recently? Ordered Dec 3rd and hoping the delivery times are still close to the previous posts. Assuming the holidays may slow things down a bit.
