  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

This seems like an obligatory albeit mostly pointless thread. Forgive me, I need something to occupy my attention besides politics!

How are people doing re. bodies actually shipping?
Was told by a rep I got my order in one of the earliest batches - within 2hrs of sales going live (when processing was still quoted as 7-10 days) and was told to expect tracking the 23rd or 26th but still nothing. I know the fires put the brakes on order processing for a few days...

Not that I have anything to shoot. Just eager is all. :)
 
Placed my order for the Komodo on the day of release. Was told it would be 2-3 weeks and that window has passed now. However, I placed a 2nd order for the accessories on Oct. 15th and it arrived last Friday.
 
Same on my end. I ordered within the first hour of release and had the "7-10 days" timeframe, was told it was shipping on ~ the 23rd before the evacuation happened. Obviously that evacuation has delayed things. I look forward to using this thing on a few projects so hope it ships soon, I'm sure they are working hard on it.
 
I ordered mine around 5:30 eastern time once my bank cleared my purchase on my card, the rep told me mid November when I reached out for shipping status a week after ordering it.
 
I ordered a day after and got a processing time 4 - 6 weeks, so next week will be 4th week. I hope it could come on time, but since many people said the evacuation would cause delay, I have no idea now. Just hope I can get it before Christmas.
 
From what I see on the various Facebook groups units have been shipping from RED, there certainly were orders allocated to dealers which people have pre-ordered and received as well. Lots of black bodies are in hands of people who pulled the trigger nearly immediately.

I think they are just chewing through all the orders post-evacuation.

Don't know if serials anything to go by considering the hop and skip you can do between dealers and RED, but there's a bunch out there.
 
Ahh sounds like I'll be waiting a while, I ordered on the 26th, and got the 4-6 weeks estimate. Was hoping to get it by first or second week of December but its sounding like it might be the new year for a new Komodo.
 
Very interesting! Phil, I had that same thought this morning - big blocks of S/N's probably went out to dealers first. I was honestly surprised to see a 7-10 day estimate when placing my order, last go around with the Helium it seemed like the first few month's worth sold out within minutes.
 
Ordered one from RED 30mins after announcement and it arrived today. Ordered second from Adorama the next day and it shipped today arriving Monday.
 
I ordered mine direct from RED Oct 13, 12:42pm EDT. Was told likely Oct 30th after the evac. Still processing as of today.
 
Ordered on Oct 13 just after 12 Eastern... RED updated me this week that the camera won't ship until after Nov 15.
 
Ordered yesterday and my estimated shipping date is January 18th.

WOW!! Come on people. Cancel your orders!!! haha.. ;(
 
When I ordered on 10/13, I was given a 2-3 week timeframe. I just received an email response to my inquiry for an updated ETA and it is now 11/30.
