Howdy folks,

I just tried attaching my Outrigger Handle to the V-Raptor, and while it fits and screws on properly, it doesn't seem to be triggering the R/S function. Does anybody know if it's possible to trigger Run/Stop with the Raptor and Komodo Outrigger? I could have sworn I saw a comment or post on here saying they're cross compatible. Perhaps it's a setting I need to tweak? Or is R/S simply not supported? For what it's worth, the handle is quite comfy on Raptor!

Yes the Komodo outrigger sure looks more comfy than what is currently available for the Raptor.

I also confirm it works, was just using it this way yesterday. It is comfortable but also does feel unbalanced if handholding. still prefer top handle and waiting for red's so i can use it w/ the dsmc3 monitor

Damn, I'm really hoping my top pins aren't faulty! Guess it's better to know now, before the DSMC3 Touch arrives.

Thanks for your confirmations, everyone. I'll follow up with Red support and see what the deal is.

In other news, I'm off to the first paid shoot where I'm exclusively shooting on my Raptor. Part of me is a little nervous and I want to throw the Komodo in my bag, just in case. Pray for me (and my card space)!

Haha you guys are hilarious. But ya I thought it looked pretty uncomfortable. I’ll be passing on that one. Either waiting on the rosette front cheese they made in the production pack or 3rd party for sure. Seems like a downgrade from the dsmc2 side handle which for me will be sorely missed.

Yeah not a fan of the ergonomics on this thing. They didn't even put a dial on operator interface (Sidekick and the operator handle for DSMC2 were great!) b/c I guess we love pressing buttons like sixteen times instead. There's no directional pad either. Making the Gameboy (1989) PWN this thing in user input. All could be forgiven if we could just pair a cool off camera handle / dial with mappable buttons etc. Oops no BLE. Well maybe we'll get something wired down the road.

However the images this sensor/processor combo can capture are impossibly gorgeous (so far), we're just going to have to get creative to make it work for "our" needs.

Agreed, although I'm a RED noob, and have no business even having a camera this nice and powerful. But yeah, my first impressions are ridiculously nice image, but questionable ergonomics. From my understanding this camera is more suited for crews, as are most REDs, but I'll be single-operator 99% of the time. I also really want my DSMC3 monitor to ship. Monitoring through an iPhone is downright painful.

Have you tried the usb-c port I guess you'd need a lightining<>usb-c cable (even DJI gives this in the box), but I did transfers with a usb-c ethernet adapter and they were damn fast. If its more the size of the screen you're referring to... maybe a cheap 2nd hand ipad? I'm using my wife's old 4th gen mini on the gimbal and it works pretty ok especially on 5Ghz ad-hoc.

My outrigger works great on the V Raptor. Trigger and all.
