Thanks for alerting everyone!

And thanks to the Red team for these updates-- I've been loving the changes in the 1.5 beta!

What is “Prism Viewfinder mode”?

It reverses the Komodo's touch screen image so a 6X6cm prism such as Hasselblad can be used as a finder with correct viewed image. It is pretty slick.

Is there such an accessory for Komodo? Can’t say I’ve seen this before.

Take a look in the Komodo forum, there's some discussion. You might search for Viper Gears-- they make an mount that allows you to easily attach the prism viewfinder above the LCD screen.

Interested a lot in the Komodo but i will wait until there will be a 6k - 48p s35 mod. Beeing at the beginning i cant afford to switch lenses si i will hold on tight on my Fujinon Mk lenses and hoping RED will bring a s35 48p mode and will order one in a beat. Meanwhile i keep iasing money for it.

That will not work with my cage. Plus ridiculously overpriced. Couple of thoughts:

• What percentage of users would benefit from having the gyroscopic sensor supported so we could do much better post stabilization? I’ll bet easily more than half of us.

• How many here need this “prism mode”? I’ll bet virtually no one.

Red, how about prioritizing usable features?

I have Viper prism frame for Hasselblad 45 degree finder and love it. I first choked on the price, but after I got it, I never looked back. A side benefit is that the SDI issue with monitor power is completely eliminated.

May We can ask you a video where you show how it works and the benefit of using it?

Video not necessary. The prism slides in place as desired. There is no magic to this. It just works.

So how is everyone getting on with this update? Anything we should be aware of or smooth sailing?

So I take it no one has actually installed this version, as there is zero feedback on stability?

Maybe no one has tested thoroughly in the 4 days since release!

I had no problems with 1.5 beta-- did a 1-day shoot with it (manual spherical lenses, not Canon EF/RF or anamorphic, so I can't speak to those features). And no problems so far with a small amount of runtime on 1.5.3.

Anyone else having problems downloading this new firmware? I'm logging in through Red website and clicking download but not downloading to computer... never had a problem before?
