Fixed playback stuttering at high frame rates
Fixed German SLA causing camera shutdown

Improved LCD sync issues in Playback with Anamorphic formats
General stability improvements

There is so minimal improvements and lack of user feature request that no-one is even discussing this update.

This is really sad that the ones who bought the Komodo are just a test rabbits..

If you're new to RED, or really any camera in modern times, some firmware updates are major and some are minor.

There's been discussion of a notable one around November online to add Timelapse mode and other things. I think that's the "big one". Don't know all the features, but that's been requested a lot.

November for major update firmware

I don't feel like a test rabbit-- the camera did what Red promised it would do when I received it last year. While there were some initial quirks and instabilities, they were mostly fixed by 1.5.3, and I haven't hesitated to use the camera in a professional setting since then. (Not that I didn't push it a bit on paying work before then!)

All that said, I will certainly welcome the new features as they arrive-- but from my perspective, they'll be making a great camera better, not making up for problems. I understand that people are frustrated not to have certain capabilities they would expect from DSMC2, but Komodo is a brand new platform-- a little positivity from us users can only help, I think!

I would sure like to see a much more stable connection with RED Control!
