Kino Parabeam 400

Haven't had the opportunity to use these yet and can't find out anything about them on the net. I already own a 4 bank, but was considering renting a parabeam 400 for a fashion shoot to try it out. Will be close quarters, not really needing a beam of light that the parabeam can generate.

They've been discontinued...any thoughts as to why? Anyone have any opinions on it vs a standard 4 bank, aside from output? Obviously I could rent it, but would rather save the $100 and a trip to the rental store if I can help it.

I have them, don't bother. They are rather heavy, not as soft as the 4 bank but not so powerful either. I prefer to bounce a 1k or 2k to reflector or through deffusion or use small HMI if need day light.

These are popular on news sets. As Ariel has pointed out, I too find them neither here nor there.
