Really off-topic in the off-topic part of the forums but my new Kinefinity Terra 6K has arrived. Until the last week I've been going back and forth between choosing a Raven or the Terra to replace my sold FS5. Since I needed a new camera pretty fast for upcoming projects and I'm on a tight budget I decided to take a bit of a chance and go with the Terra 6K in the end.

I am and will be posting footage/tests on my Youtube channel in the coming days/weeks and will draw up a full review. It would definitely be nice to set up a comparison to the Raven or other dragon RED which is one of its competitors. So if anybody in the Benelux with a RED is up for this give a message.

Cheers

nice! im really interested in these cameras - image quality reliability and especially workflow.

Might be outside of the score of your review, Robbert, but after my experience with the Ursa Mini 4.6k, I'm interested in QC and customer support as much as image quality. If your doing a comparison, I think the camera's this is going up against are:

Red Raven
Ursa Mini 4.6k
FS7
C300 mk 2 (now that the price has dropped)

With the options for raw, and its small size, I think the Sony FS5 is one of the direct competitors of the Kinefinity Terra 5K/6K as well.

Robbert, why did you sell your FS5?

I just wasn't particularly happy with both the images and the (lack of) interface. For a wedding I did I rented an FS7 and there was something about the FS7 images that I liked way better than the FS5 was giving me. The way that Sony implemented shooting in Log and viewing it on the monitor is severely crippled on the FS5 because of not having proper LUT's/EI mode.
I wanted a small camera (gimbal/drone) so the FS7 wasn't a good option to upgrade too.

And then we have the thing about Sony color. The fact that 4K on the FS5 is crippled doesn't help here at all. It might be a placebo effect but until now I've been way more satisfied with the images coming out of the TERRA and the usability/gradeability in post.
