Hi guys, I like to share my been happy about an ongoing process of almost a year of hard work which it is now finally Taking KETCHFRAME thru the process of going Public after receiving its new Corporate Denomination, and a new look too, he he.

Thanks to also "Rape of a Beauty" which is surely rising some very interesting support as the first Drama 3D of such a Subject, and attracted some Angel investors in the process.

Now will make final decision as to were KETCHFRAME's new home will be if we stay in Vegas or come to California.

Any way again you guys are my only family away from home and my only family that understand truly what fallowing and persevering a Cinematic carrier really means.

Special Thanks to my friend Talented Graphic Designer and Collaborator, Manuele Trullu, which has extremely patiently play out with me every single step of the Logo Design for Ketchframe's new look.

BTW, wait till we finish the 3D Animated version of this logo and you first see it on the big screen, it will be blowing your way, really hot, he he.

EDIT: he he, the logo has now changed completely do to recent events which have shaped entirely KETCHFRAME'S direction... coming soon.

Great news Ketch. We are looking forward to this all coming together.

Thanks Ron, you have been a good friend and always in support of my work, look forward in bringing some business your way this year.

Nice logo Ketch. All things being equal- come back to California

vlad

Thanks Vlad, well now is al possible, will be in Cali on the 18th for few days, to meet with some Industry players for "Rape of a Beauty" so will see, could be Burbank, or Vegas still, will see locations wise what I find.

As always, good luck Ketch! I bet real-estate is reallllly cheap right now in vegas. :D

Thanks Gavin, yes it, the location I got offers a good first year rate, not sure what I will find in Cali, but will see on the week of the 18th, once I'm there.

Ketch, at least to *ME* it looks super busy with tons of stuff happening and not really directing the viewer where to look.

U got Italy colors in there, the Name (important), S3D, two cloud looking things back there in two different colors (i assume the colors for 3D?), u got a slate, a bunch of 3's in your timecode and other stuff. you farme TC is in 30, are u going to be shooting at 30fps? J/K ;-)

Maybe once we see it in motion it will flow a lot better as the logo assembles itself?

Just a humble opinion, don't shoot me!

Ketch, I always follow your projects with interest. I wish you the best of luck. Hope to run into you sometime at a Red event... I'd like to pick your brain about 3D as my interest in it is growing.

Best,

Omar

He he, don't worry Frank I'll not be shooting any one any time soon, and all fed back is always appreciated, even so this is already gone for TradeMarking, things, small things could still be changed if need to, but we put much tough in it, and this was in deed the desire final look for the logo, yes colorful, yes busy, and multi directing, and the 3's have a different statement, again this is mainly a Motion Logo for the Big Screen, and at home on DVD, but felt that for Marketing and Branding purposes the logo should have remained the same at one point of freezing the motion, and this was to us the best point.

Fair enough. I am sure in motion, as it is intended, will be killer.

Best of luck on the new venture.

Thanks Omar, will be a pleasure to chat with you about anything, but honestly S3D it almost single handed grabbed my attention by storm since early last year and now those that were not listening they are big time.

Thanks Frank, but I do agree with you that is busy, just we wanted this way, colorful, and full of things happening as in real life, very Dynamic.

Hope that once people stat seen it on the Screen in animation they will love it, also on the new web site should still be fun to watch even so the 3D there if chosen to see it that way will not give a 1% the effect of blasting fire as it will on the Big screen and or on the Blue Ray S3D DVD.

S3D is a media that offers much more info then 2D does, and in this logo in a way I wanted to represent that, you can choose to view it closely and look at the behind the names, and look at how the flames and smoke form in a multidimensional form, each on a different layer Depth.

Wishes for the new brand for the perspectives and the important goals which point your new company.
In this collaboration I had the great pleasure to find a friend and a solid company with great ideas aimed at the future and innovation.
Another wish for "Rape Of A Beauty" in my opinion a very original project that will really leave an impression to the cinema of the future.

Best wishes, Ketch.
Looking forward to see the projects.
May you have a wonderful year, wherever you are...

Thanks Ron, much appreciate your words of support.

Thanks Manuele, I also truly believe I have found a good friend and a great artist with your collaboration in Ketchframe's logo design, and will look forward in future creations.

Thanks again for everything, especially for putting up with my Perfectionism that has driven us almost crazy, he he, almost, I love our results!

Rape of a Beauty, is not an easy project, but then again nothing has never been easy in my life, so this is no problem for me, I look forward to show my Artistic view of this story which I'm sure will be in very High contrast from its current perception.

Some tough love for you, buddy:

Have you thought of just letting Manuele design something on his own? EG you specifically stay out of the process.

This logo looks like the your last logo, which was too busy. I respectfully suspect that the problem here is YOU TELLING THE DESIGNER TO ADD TOO MUCH STUFF.

I think that there are too many elements and because of this Manuele is spread very thin and can only make each individual element look "good" not "great".

The big "KETCHFRAME" text should be done properly, in a 3D program. And then painted and lit and retouched for a few hours making it look really beautiful. But Manuele is probably so busy making those little record and playback icons that he can't get to making the word "KETCHFRAME" look good.

Have you looked at the logo in your avatar? It's impossible to read the word "S3D" and it's difficult to read "KETCHFRAME". Why "S3D" anyway and not just "3D"? Take a look at the new Blu-ray 3D logo (not the greatest work of art by any means, but it's still legible):

Also, you realize that it'll be impossible to read "Dreams in Motion" unless your audience is watching your logo in HD, right?

That said, when are you coming back to LA? I still remember you buying us all lunch back in 2007 at Vladimir Eugene's RED party. I owe you!

I'll post on your Rape of a Beauty thread too... give me a minute. That thing could turn out to be either spectacularly good or spectacularly bad.

Personally I believe that 3D is somewhat similar to theatre. Nothing wrong with doing a "real drama" in 3D - in fact I intend to do so myself too! And as long as you treat the characters with real respect and don't exploit them, you'll be okay. We've had tons of shocking plays - from Sophocles onwards - and if done right they can be powerful works of art.

Hey Bruce, great to hear from you buddy!!

I perfectly understand your tough, but this was a great collaboration were we both agree in our results, also keep in mind that there is not just one logo do it all, and we have variations for different things, and yes the super small avatars get completely lost, and in fact I might just use the Name it self as for other press work.

Yes I Rape of a Beauty can go either way and I'm aware of it, but I believe in it!

I stand for 3D 110%, and it is S3D, cause it is more proper as it stands for Stereo 3D were 3D is more understood as CGI animated 3D.

I wanted an original logo, and for this during the process I didn't look elsewhere of what others were doing, in fact aI never do that.

California now will see, what happens during my visit on the 18th were I will stay few days meeting various Industry affiliated, friends and people I do and will do business with, and make the final decision also based on real estate.

EDIT: I do however agree with you on finishing the logo in 3D, but this is what we have done with the tools at hand, and time given, but you made a very good point amongst with others here wand we are working on it.

i agree with bruce..your logo is way too cluttered. also using a clapper in a movie company logo is like using boobies in a logo for a lingerie brand - not very creative.

That's the funniest thing I read all day, not normally a lot of humour in ZH.

Ha ha he he hehe :biggrinjester:

if we talking (a sort of) humor (especially when you try to fool my friend Bruce Allen)

I can add that we all could be one day (but hopefully not, it's a joke anyway) cluttered with "newest" ARRI electronic viewfinders "redesigned" by lady irmeli...

I suggest her to use Leica Noctilux-M lens glass for the base of this new EVF... :dupe::conehead::hat::troll:

Also on that "horror" vision my balls or "eggs" have just got frozen on this Viennese winter....:dupe::conehead::hat::troll:

Need a hot bath...

hahah hehehehe...
